Feeling Better and Gaming.

I’m so sorry I went AWOL, I’m mostly feeling better, I feel more like myself again so hopefully on the mend!

So, lets do some catching up! I finally settled on a single player game after my week or so break after Horizon Zero Dawn (Did I mention you should play HZD? hehe) and I’ve gone back in time, not just to an older game but to Renaissance Italy,  oh yes it’s Assassins Creed II!

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection_20170815155100

After completing Syndicate and realising ‘Hay, I can play games like this!’ I decided to go back to what some consider the best of the AC games….The Ezio Trilogy.

I knew the games ran on from one another, with regards to Desmond’s story so I loaded up an Assassins Creed 1 ‘movie’ on Youtube (My PS3 was put away at the time) Was just over three hours long and really set me up for the second game. I was lucky to grab The Ezio Collection my PS4 for a very good price. It includes all three games where you play as Ezio, AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations, as well as the short live action prequel movie Lineage, which follows Ezio’s father Giovanni and also Embers, the animated film which shows what became of Ezio after the end of Revelations. Embers also shows us Shao Jun, who you play as in Assassins Creed Chronicles: China.

These games are quite old now (AC2 being released in November 2009, Brotherhood November 2010 and Revelations November 2011) so this won’t be a review, more of just a screenshot dump and me saying how much I enjoyed playing the games…and I really did!

Assassin's Creed The Ezio Collection_20170827153024

I spent about two weeks playing through Assassins Creed II. I mainly play for 2-4 hours a night, depending on work shifts. On days off I grab another 2-3 hours in the middle of the day too. I enjoyed myself so much I spent two months going through Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3 and Black Flag.

After finishing five AC games on the bounce, there was only a few days left until Origins was released. Not enough time to start and finish another AC. I still had Rogue and Unity to play through, but would come back another time.

I started Origins and it’s a truly stunning game! Kinda like an Assassin’s Creed game, crossed with The Witcher 3, set in Ancient Egypt. I’ve sunk about 30 hours into it so far and barely touched the surface! This game is huge!!

Not long after Origins landed, the DLC for Horizon Zero Dawn dropped. I much as I, now anyway, tend to stick to one game at a time, it made sense to go and do that. The Frozen Wilds is the only DLC for that they are doing for HZD and it truly is as amazing as the rest of the game. I would recommend using a save file where you’ve finished the game it’s then dumped you back before the final fights, don’t wanna ruin it but there will be additional dialogue throughout Frozen Wilds if you know a certain character from the base game. *cough* Sylans *cough* ^^

Horizon Zero Dawn™_20171124161922

Credit for above in game screenshot from Frozen Wilds to my amazing other half Simon. The photo mode for Horizon is amazing but the things he can do with are just fantastic! Thank you for letting me use this huni ^^ (All mine are still on the PS4 and I haven’t finished the DLC yet hehe)

I then went away for a week. Stayed at Simon’s house. Recharged my batteries, physically and mentally, mainly mentally. With all the feeling ill it really made a dark shadow crawl into my brain, or maybe that should be let the one that always lives there have free reign. I mean, it’s not great to be sitting there with your head throbbing on one side so you just sit back, shut your eyes and think ‘This is it’ Whatever is causing these is gonna blow and I’m gonna have a fit, or collapse and my parents are gonna find me dead in the chair or on the floor. That’s how I felt though, I would sit and wait to die.

I haven’t had a full blown headache episode since 7th November, a couple of aches that required non or 1 pain killer, or simply me looking upwards and telling it to ‘You can fuck off!’ Yet more tests are being done on my eyes in January, even though I’ve been told by several opticians and eye Doctors that they can’t see anything wrong with my eyes…but there we go…what do I know… *shrug*

I felt better being away, more like myself. Batteries are recharged and I feel better mentally. Dunno if I’m 100% but no more thoughts of waiting to die, though that could be cause of no headaches, either way, moving in the right direction. Though it’s always immensely helpful when you tell someone that’s how you were feeling before you went away and they laugh at you… Yeah thanks for that… *sarcastic thumbs up*

Anyway, that went dark, but life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Hopefully with health mostly back on track I can concentrate on keeping this blog more active like when I started. While I was away I was planning on gaming loads! Switch, DS and PS Vita travelling with me, yet I barely touched them till Thursday, I was writing. For the first time in a while I had an idea that I thought I could actually turn into a written piece. I’m up to just over 3000 words at the moment and not even gotten to the good stuff yet but hopefully I will have it finished, sent to my fantastic editor friend, you know who you are, and then get it up *snigger* here for you all to, hopefully, read and enjoy ^^

I’m sorry again for being away for so long. I really hope I can be better blogger from now on.

Love to you all ❤

Horizon Zero Sunset.

See what I did there? Yep, it was awful!

I know I’m repeating my last post but sorry I’ve been kind of absent lately. I said a post was in the works and here it is!

Horizon Zero Dawn™_20170809004338

So, I finished Horizon Zero Dawn! I know we are only in August but I have to say… Game of the Year! As previously mentioned, I thought I would enjoy it but struggle with the combat, as my fella told me recently, I just kinda got it and thrived. (Make a note on your calendars, I just said something positive about myself!) I’ve talked about the fun combat and how visually stunning it is. How the music gave me goosebumps, So lets talk about the feels…

There were several points throughout the game where I clutched my chest as it constricted from what I was seeing and hearing onscreen. And the ending… tears streaming down my face! Also a few times where I was swearing like a sailor with rage! My boyfriend, during one of many conversations we had about the game, was like…

‘So if you’ve got to that building, so you’ve seen that bit with ‘spoiler’?’

(I was pointing my finger in the air and glaring even though we were on the phone and no one could see me…)

I don’t wanna say too much, if you have a PS4 then I can not recommend it enough.
Go! Play it! You won’t regret it ^^

I said I wouldn’t say anymore, screenshots don’t count, neither does a video hehe ^^

After I finish a game I kinda of go into limbo for about a week, especially something so story heavy. My brain needs time to process it, make it’s peace with it so to speak before I can pick up another single player game.

After finishing Horizon Zero Dawn I went back to reading more. I finished book 8 of the the awesome Joe Hawke series by Rob Jones, just in time it appeared as I got an email saying book 9, The Sword of Fire, has dropped! (Never loaded up my Kindle faster!) I also started back at the beginning of the Andy McDermott’s Wilde and Chase series. I know, I shouldn’t, I have a pile of books I haven’t even read once but the new Wilde and Chase, King Soloman’s Curse is due out Sept 21st and I fancied a little refresher on Nina and Eddie’s earlier adventures. So much I had forgotten, so many funny, stupid and crazy things Eddie has done, book one done, gonna start book 2 once finished with Sword of Fire.

I’ve also been playing a game called Fortnite with Simon.

Fortnite really feels like a bit of everything kinda game. It’s a sandbox, third person shooter, builder, collection, micro managing ball of fun!

The basic jist for Fortnite is suddenly, 98% of the worlds population disappears and a giant purple storm has appeared along with thousands of zombies! *gasp*
You are the Commander, no, not Shepard, wrong game, and you control a Hero in the field. There are four classes, Soldier, Constructor, Outlander and Ninja. Each one has perk. Soldier better with ranged weapons, Constructor build faster with less materials, Outlander gathers materials faster, Ninjas take less falling damage.

You start out with only a Soldier, Rescue Trooper Ramirez, and you unlock using the others through your levelling and obtain them by loot boxes, I’ll come back to that shortly.

You have a like a world map, (top left) and a local map (top right) where you take on missions. You may have ones to advance the story (bottom) or you may have to meet certain criteria like rescue a certain amount of people. You can go into a mission area but not do the mission itself to gather materials. you will need A LOT of materials!

Here is your Hero tab. You select what hero you wanna use before you set out. If you’re only gathering take an Outlander. Here I’m about to go out on a mission so Ramirez is ready to go. I’ve also unlocked the ability to have a squad bonus. They don’t come with you but they boost your stats and give you bonuses.

You have a base, a Storm Shield. Which, as part of the story will periodically need expanding and defending. Here’s my Storm Shield just before I took on level 4, it was a bit excessive but totally worth the time I took to farm the materials. I made a Tunnel of Death, loads of spaces to slow down and hurt the zombies before they even got anywhere near the walls. There’s also a couple of sniper towers so when Simon is in my game helping me, he likes to snipe, he has several spots to pick from ^^

Also on a lot of the missions you will need to find and defend a point on the map. To defend you will need to build a fort, or something like one. You have three options for materials, wood, brick and metal. Brick is stronger than wood, metal stronger than brick, the old Three Little Pigs method of thinking ^^ You can lay down floors, build walls, stairs and a roof for you building. Building is really super easy, and if you have more of the material it’s made from you can repair on the fly as you defend your base. Once that’s done you can lay traps, which you’ve crafted, for your uninvited guests. One of the other things you will need to craft is weapons and ammo, cause traps won’t be enough to keep out the monsters…

When you complete missions you get exp and your Commander level goes up! Here’s where you spend your points, The Skill Tree. Here you can unlock the other classes, boost your stats, improve your building skills… SO MANY THINGS! I mean it, there are like 4 pages of skills, this is just page one…

Not long into the game you gain access to Research which unlocks even more stuff!! Again, this is page one, there are four pages, two is bigger than one so…

Now, I mentioned loot boxes. They aren’t really boxes as such…more Llamas… I have no idea why, but they are. You can get them in many ways, maybe logging in daily, earning V-Bucks to buy them or spending real money for V-Bucks to buy them. Inside them you get Heroes, Defenders (You can set them up to help defend your forts) Survivors (You can set these guy up in groups to boost your stats) weapon and trap schematics. You then level up these schematics to improve the weapons you make. (The higher rarity the plan, the longer the item lasts, everything must break in the end, always good to have a back up, another reason to do loads of material gathering)

Luckily, all you Heroes, survivors, schematics etc are all kept in one handy place, Your Armory. Here you can view what you’ve got, level it up and recycle unwanted items.

Also in this tab is the Collection Book. Like any loot box, you will get doubles. You can recycle them to get back Exp to then level up other ones, or you can add them to the book, level that up and get bonuses with each level.

It is absolutely CRAZY how much there is to do in this game, and I’ve barely scratched the surface. The game doesn’t ‘officially’ launch till next year, where it will be free to play! Or you can buy and play it right now and start the fun early. It’s fun on it’s own, but so much more when you play with, up to four, friends ^^

I’m sorry I’ve been somewhat absent of late. It’s been nearly 3 weeks since I posted Homecoming. I was working on another piece, one that required a little research but in the mean time I was gonna do my usual posts of games, books etc…

However that has not come to pass. I started the new piece of writing, got up to where I needed to research and yet seem to have no willingness to do it… Also I’ve been pulling a little overtime at work and work has been stressing me out somewhat too >.<

I’ve also had the joys of feeling under the weather, then got what could be a migraine for over a week now, it’s still lingering above my right eye and won’t quite shift. I also may have an infection, getting it all checked out at the Dr’s tomorrow.

I have still managed to game, read etc but alas the blog has fell by the wayside. With feeling crappy I spent my time doing gaming and reading, trying to relax and calm my turbulent soul. It helped, somewhat, though feeling guilty about not posting here did weigh on my mind, not writing too. I also have correspondence to draft, write and send out and that has also been filed under the ‘To do’ pile. I did start to write a blog post about gaming but the headache wouldn’t allow me to finish it. As soon as I am able I will finish and post it.

I can only apologies, yet it doesn’t quite seem enough…

I was writing this piece at the same time as ‘Frustrated in Traffic‘ Bouncing between the two until first that one was done, and now this one. They were completely unconnected, that idea coming from a discussion with a friend, this one a flash in my mind when I was just sitting with my eyes closed.

However, due to a sudden, and quite frankly surprising thought from my brain, they are now connected! (Though they could probably still be read separately)

So, feel free to read this on it’s own, or you could check out ‘Frustrated in Traffic‘ first then come back and find out what happens afterwards.

The front door slammed.
I came out of the kitchen to greet you to find you standing there, shoulders heaving, eyes shut, your mouth almost a sneer as your bag dropped to the floor with a thud.
You didn’t move or open your eyes. It was like you didn’t hear me.
‘Steve? You okay?’ I said, taking a step towards you.
You breathed in deeply. As you breathed out again, your eyes suddenly opened wide to focus straight on me. I felt like a rabbit caught in headlights. Your gaze was so… heated, like I was standing there wearing nothing but revealing lingerie, not a long sleeve blouse and skirt. You stalked towards me down the hall, each step of your heavy work boots filling me with anticipation. I noticed the large bulge tenting the front of your jeans… something had riled you up.
You reached me, standing so close I could feel the heat coming off your sun kissed skin. You stood over a head taller than me, even in my heels. I love how you towered over me, looking down with fire in your eyes as your hands brushed up past the sides of my face to pull out the sticks holding up my hair. The dark curls fell down my shoulders and back as you threw the sticks aside, not caring where they landed. Your long fingers then slid into my hair, gripping firmly as you pulled me into a searing kiss.
My hands came up from my sides to fist your work vest tightly as you dominated my mouth. Your tongue caressing my own, withdrawing so you could bite my bottom lip, then licking where you had bitten. The constant changing left me breathless, wondering what you would do next. Using your hips you backed me a few steps till my back hit the wall. Your hands left my hair to lace our fingers together before you lifted them above my head. You broke the kiss and looked me dead in the eye, your voice deeper than usual
‘Leave them there’
I nodded.
Your fingers left mine to slide down my cotton covered arms, skimming over my breasts causing me to shudder before you reached my skirt. You pulled my shirt free before moving back up the buttons. With a growl you ripped the shirt apart causing buttons to fly in every direction making me gasp with surprise. You had been passionate before, and hasty, but never had you ripped my clothes. The buttons hadn’t even stopped bouncing before you had pulled the silk of my bra cups down under both my breasts and began sucking one nipple hard and pinching the other. Your lips and tongue a contrast to the roughness of your short beard. My head fell back, hitting the wall with a light thud.
Without thinking my fingers slid into the longer hair on the top of your head making you growl. Your mouth left my breast with an audible pop as you grabbed both of my wrists, spun me around and pinned me against the wall with your whole body, arms above my head once again.
‘Leave. Them. There’ You said again, puncturing each word with a grind of your erection against the cleft of my bottom. I groaned, my stance widening as your hands slid down my body again, this time past my hips to fist my skirt in your hands, dragging it up so it bunched at my waist. I felt one of your fingers follow the line of my thong down before you suddenly slapped each cheek hard. I cried out, I couldn’t help it, but I left my hands above me on the wall. I hadn’t been spanked before, it was… painful… but fucking arousing! You caressed the skin briefly before sliding your hand around my thighs, pushing  my thong aside to dip between my lips.
I hadn’t realised how wet I was till I felt how easily your fingers slipped around my clit, first one way, then the other, you caressed in slow circles. I whimpered at the loss of your touch when you withdrew but then I heard the clink of your belt, the soft grind of your zipper.
I bit my lip as the hot head of your hard cock seared my outer folds as you rubbed yourself against me before settling against my entrance. I pushed back, desperate for you to fill me, and you did, in one hard thrust of your hips. I flung my head back and a groaned out ‘Yes’ escaped my lips. I felt your fingers tangle in my hair, the other hand settling on my hip as you pulled out slowly before slamming back in. I tried to dig my nails into the wall but couldn’t. You fisted my hair as you pounded into me. Every bruising thrust caused my uncovered nipples to rub against the wall, bolts of arousal shooting through me every time the sensitive flesh struck. This wasn’t gentle sweet love making, it was gonna be fast and rough fucking and that thought made my pussy clench around you.
‘Fuck! That how you wanna play it huh?’
Your hand released it’s searing grasp on my hip to hoist my left leg into the air. The sudden change in angle caused me to gasp as you slid even deeper than before. Your rough fingers slipped between my lips, your own thrusts rubbing my clit against them hard. I cried out, trying harder to grip the wall. My stiletto fell to the floor with a clack, but I didn’t care.
The grip in my hair
My nipples rubbing the wall
The position of my body
The bruising thrusts of your hips
Your fingers unrelenting against my clit
It was too much.
Trapped in the prison between the hard muscles of your body and the unrelenting wall, I came with a cry, my body going ridged, my breath catching in my throat. I could feel my pussy pulsating around your cock, squeezing it tighter, begging for you to give it what it desperately wanted. My juices ran down my inner thigh. I wanted to slouch against the wall, I had never come so hard before, but your grip was still tight in my hair. I wobbled in my one high heel, my knee nearly buckling as your long shaft pounded me, one, two, three more times as with a fiercely growled ‘Fuck!’ in my ear you came, hips grinding against my ass.
We stood there, locked together, as we tried to catch our breaths. You released my hair, placing your lips to my cheek briefly as you lowered my bare foot to the floor, your now soft cock slipping out of me. I steadied myself against you, not trusting my own legs to hold me up as you turned me in your arms to kiss me, slow and languid now, a contrast to the fire and passion when you came through the door. You broke the kiss to bury your face in my neck, inhaling deeply as you arms held me tight.
‘Hey’ I said, almost a whisper ‘What got you so excited?’
‘You wouldn’t believe me if I told ya’  You chuckled against my skin.
I slid my fingers into your hair again to lift your head, looking deeply into your dark eyes. ‘Try me’ and pulled your lips to mine once more.
I hope you enjoyed!

Frustrated in Traffic.

This piece came about from a conversation I had with a friend of mine. It ended up being completely different to how the conversation went but, none the less, it was sparked from that so thank you for the inspiration!

(Side note – I don’t actually drive myself, never even had a lesson, so if there are inaccuracies in that department, I do apologise)

I hope you enjoy ^^
‘Damn it!’
I shouted as I beat the steering wheel for what felt like the hundredth time. I was stuck in traffic when I was supposed to be at the airport picking up a friend, but, to be fair, it was all my own fault.
It all started when I was lounging in my favourite chair browsing on my phone through Twitter when I came across a post from one of my favourite erotica authors that her new book was out. I downloaded it immediately and threw myself in to it. I had just got to a really hot scene, so hot I was about to slide my hand into my skirt and that’s when I saw the time on my watch. I should have left thirty minutes before. I ran out the door, but instead of being able to make up time on the motorway I was stuck in a massive traffic jam, solid bumper to bumper for as far as I could see.
I left my friend a message saying I was caught in traffic but I was on my way. Now all I could do was sit and wait. Luckily it was a warm sunny day, barely a cloud in the sky so I had lowered the top of my little car, turned up the radio and tried to distract myself from the other problem, I was so fucking horny! I could feel the wetness in my knickers, I wish I could have gotten off before I left, it’s not like I could do it now… could I?

The lane I was in hadn’t moved for at least twenty minutes, same as the others around me. So I looked around, glancing at the other people in their cars, most were focused forwards, maybe glancing at their phones… no one would see me…

Fuck it! I needed this.

I put the hand brake on and undid my seat belt, I know I shouldn’t have but it would just be easier, and I wasn’t moving any time soon. I pulled my long skirt up over my knees, the softness of the material caressing my skin, serving to heighten my desire further. One final look around me, no one was looking my way, I held my knickers aside with my thumb and slipped two fingers between my folds.
I was soaked, I had to bite my lip to stop from moaning as I finally rubbed my clit.
I slid further down in my seat and widened my legs as much as I could. It felt good, but it wasn’t enough. I moved my hand lower to my entrance, tapping the edge a few times just how I liked it before slipping them inside me. I let my eyelids flutter close for a brief moment and imagined it was someone else’s fingers. A mechanic who was fixing my broken car. A policewoman that had pulled me over, checking to make sure I didn’t have anything concealed on me. I opened my eyes, we still hadn’t moved. I lifted my leg up to balance on the middle console, my foot by the hand brake to open myself more. I used my thumb and ring finger to hold my outer labia open as I flicked the switch for the air conditioning, gasping as the blast of cold air hit my soaking pussy.
I glanced around me, the lane to my right had moved a couple of foot, nothing else. I tilted my hips even more forward and began to rub little circles around and over my clit. I was so wound up that I thought this was gonna be quick. My eyes slid shut again as I sped up my rubbing, feeling my orgasm building quickly. As I moved closer and closer I felt a shadow pass over and settle on me.
I opened my eyes to see the right lane had moved again and a truck was now next to me. A small truck but it was still taller than my little car. A logo was emblazoned on the side of the door, Lords Carpentry. My pussy clenched at the thought of a man good with his hands, rough fingers, strong muscular arms pining me down and fucking me hard, I squeezed my clit briefly, my body shuddering as the pain turned to pleasure. I glanced higher and was surprised to see the driver. One hand on the wheel, the other tanned arm leaning on his open window. Must have been a truck from overseas. Despite being half hidden by aviator sun glasses I could see he was gorgeous. Dark hair, longer on top, slightly askew like he been putting his fingers through it all morning. He had the most delicious short beard and moustache the same dark brown of his hair. I shuddered at the thought of that rough scruff against my skin, it burning a trail of fire wherever it went.
As if he could feel my eyes on him he looked my way, eyebrows raising high as he saw what I was doing, a flash of tongue coming out to wet his lips. I had never touched myself in front of anyone before, not counting sex, and definitely not in front of a stranger… but I couldn’t stop. It made me feel so…sexy. So bold. I watched him and continued to rub my clit. I glanced quickly ahead, still no change. If I was doing this, I may as well do it properly. With my free hand I pulled the lever on the side of the chair and lent back till I could go no further, laying myself as flat as I could be in the seat. I pulled my skirt higher, so he could see my purple underwear and the movement of my hand. He licked his lips again. I pulled my little top up, exposing my breasts so I could pinch my nipples and scratch at the plump flesh, all while holding his gaze. He pulled his glasses down to the tip of his nose and winked at me. The sun stopped me seeing his eyes, I imagined they were as dark as his scruff, blown wide at the show I was putting on for him. I worked my clit hard, my own slickness now working against me. I don’t know what had come over me. I was exposed completely, in my car, touching myself in front of a complete stranger in the middle of a traffic jam… and I had never felt so fucking turned on in my life.
When I came it was sudden, one second I was close, the next I fell over the edge. A high pitched moan escaped me as with my eyes still on my stranger, my body went ridged, nails digging into my breast, fingers working my clit as I felt my pussy pulse. More of my juices flooded around my fingers as I came hard. My tanned stranger’s tongue brushed over his bottom lip as he watched me slump back into my chair, chest heaving to catch my breath. I still couldn’t look away as I brought my fingers to my mouth, eyes flickering as I sucked my fingers clean of my essence.
A car horn sounded loudly, making me jump and raise my chair quickly. I glanced around and realised my lane had moved but not by much, but there was now a big gap in front of the truck. Mr Carpenter raised his fingers to his sun glasses, gave me a final smile and pushed them back up his nose before driving forward to catch up with the now moving traffic on his side. I righted my top and skirt before anyone else saw me, as if that was bad after what I had just done. Laughing to myself, I took one final look at my strangers truck and carried on with my journey.

Holiday! Celebrate!

Though, as I write this I’m heading home tomorrow >.< Been staying at my boyfriend’s house for a week so loads of chilling, hand held gaming catch up and reading.

Before I left for holiday, a little while ago in fact, I finished Assassins Creed Syndicate. As I’ve mentioned before, I haven’t played any other AC games so can’t compare to the previous titles but I really enjoyed it! Thought the characters were interesting, the story was good, the voice cast did a great job and the music was very fitting.

The DLC, Jack the Ripper, started out a little creepy I must say, don’t want to spoil it for you if you think you’re gonna play it at some point. I’m now playing as Evie on it, looking somewhat different, as it’s set quite a few years after the end of Syndicate. I haven’t got very far into it yet, but I do want to finish it, it’s on the list as they say ^^

Now, most, of Assassins Creed Syndicate is done. It was back to Horizon Zero Dawn. I started this game when it first came out and was blown away by it. It is beautiful in every sense of the word. The visuals are stunning. Guerrilla make games exclusively for PlayStation and with the help of the very guy who basically designed the PS4 they can push it to it’s absolute limit, and it really shows. Plus, with its impressive photomode, a great screenie, can turn in to an amazing one.

The combat is fantastic. With many different types of weapon you can fight how ever works best for you. It could be making enemies vulnerable with elemental bombs thrown from a sling, or arrows from a bow. Pinning them to the floor with ropes. Planning and setting up traps to make them run into them. You can fire arrows that will tear bits off the machines damaging them and making them easier to fight. The possibilities are endless. I was worried I couldn’t pull off the combat in this game, but I absolutely love it!

This video is about 15 levels old now but gives you a gist of how I play. Arrows, elemental bombs and ropecasters ^^

I’m just over halfway through now so still plenty to do.

When I’m away from home, luckily, I don’t have to stop gaming. With a 3DS and PS Vita packed to come with me, along with my Kindle I have many hours of relaxation planned.

My Kindle has been hammered quite a bit over last few days, though it always does truth be told, that baby comes everywhere with me. I’ve managed to write a bit more of one of my pieces, I have two ‘open’ at the moment. I think they are both going okay. I’ll post them up when they are done. I’ve also finished book seven in the Joe Hawke series by Rob Jones. I’ve started book eight but, it’s hard with how The Hunt for Atlantis ended, I’m not gonna hide it, there were tears *sniff*

I’ve also started reading the Edge Security series by Trish Loye. Good action with a smattering of romance ^^

I’ll quite happily sit at home and play hand held games, but they come out to play more I’m away from home, which makes sense as that’s what they are for lol This week I’ve mainly been playing Assassins Creed Liberation on the Vita. Had to pick it up after wanting to play more AC, was a toss up between Liberation and Chronicles. I will get Chronicles eventually, mainly deciding what console to get it on, Vita or PS4. I think the style suits the Vita well but what’s the point in sitting there with a small screen when I could be playing on the bigger screen? More thought needs to go into this, maybe after I’ve made a dent in some of the gaming pile >.<

I’m really enjoying Liberation. I’m onto sequence three now. Love the switching of Personas from Assassin, Slave and Lady. Makes things interesting, fun and adds to the challenge. Very much looking forward to playing more.

Also continuing my stupidly slow progress of Fire Emblem Awakening. Just got one of the future kids to pick up now, Cynthia. Then I can, hopefully plow through remaining main story chapters and additional side ones. Then I can focus on Fates properly without Awakening waving at me out the corner of my eye. I’m still collecting characters in Fire Emblem Heroes too on my phone. It’s so weird going back to a full Fire Emblem after the playing the phone one ^^

I’ve put Lon’qu here to represent Awakening and Heroes as he’s one of my favourites, complete coincidence that’s it’s his ripped clothing art from Heroes showing off his strong arm…*sigh*

*cough* Kim? There’s a bit more to write…

What? Oh yeah, games! Waiting for me at home is a brand new console so even more games to play. An Nintendo Switch!

I knew I wanted one when they were first shown, but wanted to wait, like I did with my PS4, for a game or games that I wanted to play. Now it came out with The Legend of Zelda, which I wanted but I knew it would hard to obtain and it was coming out in Mad March (When Horizon, Nier and Mass Effect Andromeda was dropping) so I decided to wait. I wanted Fire Emblem Warriors, which is due out later in the year, so I thought I would spread the cost a bit and not pay out loads in one go, buying The Legend of Zelda a couple of months ago, and a case for it back in May. I put an order in for the Switch itself on Amazon in the middle of June, as it said it was due back in stock at end of July. I thought perfect, spread the cost well and then I’ll all be ready for Warriors at the end of the year, and a whole brand new Fire Emblem *squeal* next year.

So that was the plan, but I get an email the day before I go away saying, it will be in stock a whole month early, in three days time…

Holy Crap!

So, I go away the Saturday, and on the Monday a Switch turned up at home! I can not wait to get home and set it all up tomorrow, once I’ve done a little bit of adulting of course. Grrrr dusting and washing >.<

Happy Gaming people!

I had never heard of Tiffin until my boyfriend mentioned it was one of his favourite treats. (Okay, not true, I heard of it, in one of the old Carry On films, Carry On up the Khyber. They mentioned it, I had no idea what it meant, but as it was a Carry On film, I assumed it was something naughty…later found out it was a light meal eaten during the day)

In essence, it’s an elaborate chocolate digestive…but so much better!

Due to Tiffin requiring no actual baking, just chilling, it is sometimes known as ‘Fridge Cake’ and was invented in the early 1900’s in Troon, Scotland. It is perfect with a cup of coffee, as pudding after dinner, or maybe just as a naughty treat!

450g of Digestive biscuits – Half crushed, half in small chunks, or can crush them all.
450g Chocolate – Broken up into squares, you can use milk or dark, or even a mixture.
220g Unsalted Butter – Cut into smaller pieces
4 Tablespoons of Sugar
4 Tablespoons of Golden Syrup
8 Tablespoons of Coco Powder
Handful of Raisins
Optional – White/Dark Chocolate –
To decorate – Broken into squares

Start by lining a tin with baking parchment, you’re not baking but it makes life easier.

If you haven’t done so yet, crush those biscuits! I don’t actually have a food processor >.< I know, I’ll get one when I have my own kitchen. I put half the biscuits in a sandwich bag at a time and break them up with a ladle, it’s quite therapeutic really. I tend to go for about half completely crushed, half small chunks, that way you get two different textures when eating, though all crushed works really well too. Place it all into a bowl and throw in the handful of raisins. It really is only a handful, by all means add more if you want, the main idea is just the odd little taste of one, not to overload it.

Next you wanna place the butter, sugar, golden syrup and coco powder into a sauce pan and melt very gently, don’t wanna burn the mixture.

When it’s melted, pour over the biscuits and raisins and stir thoroughly.

Tip the biscuit mixture into you lined tin and press down firmly. A few holes will be inevitable, especially if you’ve gone for the half crushed/ half chunks mixture, but if need be you can break it up some more, shake it up and re-press it down. When it’s done, shove it in the fridge for an hour or so.

Next, melt the chocolate, I used milk chocolate for mine, just what I prefer. I placed it broken up into a glass bowl in the microwave for about 20 seconds at a time, stirring in between so it didn’t burn. I recommend reducing the power of you microwave down to make burning less likely, if you can. When done, pour over the chilled biscuit and spread it evenly over.

To be honest, that is now done, and can go back in the fridge for another hour. OR you can decorate the top and make it look just that little bit fancier. If you are, now melt the additional chocolate, I used white, the same way you did the milk. when it’s ready, take a small spoon and drizzle it over the top. You can do it anyway you want, I went for a up and down and left to right drizzle. I’ve also done a combo of dark one way, and white the other, can do whatever you want really, and it doesn’t matter if it looks messy, because…

Now, take a toothpick, or a very thin knife and just brush it through the melted chocolate. This can be done in straight lines down or to the sides, or even little swirls to really mix it up, again, however you want. I just went down in straight lines, regularly changing toothpick to keep it clear, added bonus of this, can lick the chocolate off the last toothpick as you carry on swirling hehe

When done decorating, pop it back in the fridge for another hour, then chop it in to squares or slices. Keep in an air tight container in the fridge, will keep for at least a week, but I doubt it will last that long!

As always I’m on Twitter and would love to see your pictures if you make this.

Enjoy! ^^
